St. Lawrence view

Another "hotel" sketch. This was way up the St. Lawrence
River in Malbaie Canada. Almost to the Gaspe peninsula.
Large barges and whales...what a combination. Beautiful
countryside and the ferries connected across the river because
there weren't any bridges. I love painting these little moments
in time, I just need to do more of them!

Your sketch book is a real treasure. This makes me recall a couple trips to the Gaspe Peninsula. My deceased husband, Gary, had lots of family in Cascapedia, and we spent some nice time there. Quebec is so European and so close to Vermont, a perfect combination. You captured the are well.
