what ya doin'?

It's a sketchbook kind of week...I did the above painting this summer when there was a festival along the shores of Lake Champlain. Two huge tents and an old building behind them...it's funny how many people look at you and small children point and asking "what ya doin'?" I figure with all these Urban Sketchers across the world, a person painting in broad daylight wouldn't be such an unusual sight!

And the next question is "How much you get for these?" to which, in my case at least, the ONLY safe answer is, "Sorry, it's been promised, it's not for sale"

Lovely--I'll bet your sketchbooks are fabulous to browse through...

It is indeed a very bold step to be seen sketching in a crowded urban area, but only those who are knee deep into art and passionate take such steps, the rewards being so much lively and dynamic, who will not take such step? Wonderful sketch, capturing the light and contrasts!

I love your artwork and visit here often! I was wondering if you could tell me what kind of square sketchbook you use for these watercolors?
