new subjects

The weekly figure session is on hiatus until mid January, boo hoo. I've gotten quite used to going on a regular basis. I should be less bashful and drag the sketchbook around town and sketch people in cafes and restaurants etc... I've done some of that, but some how the person I've chosen to sketch realizes something is up and gives me the hairy eyeball. I should focus on people who are asleep or mostly turned away from me. Hmm a thought for the new year, find unsuspecting subjects.

Ah...the hairy eyeball. I have been doing indoor photo shoots of "hopefully unsuspecting" people eating in restaurants. So lovely in composition. But the other day I looked at one photo and sure enough the guy was giving me the hairy eyeball. WHO is this nut taking photos of complete strangers. FBI? CIA? Yikes. If looks could kill! Hahahahaha.

Well, you've given me quite a chuckle this a.m. Unsuspecting subjects are best! LOL

Wonderful! I love people watching and should do the same. I think if you avert your eyes, they don't necessarily know what you're doing...great job of this!

You could try giving them a hairy eyeball back, smile, then keep on sketching?!?!!
