VT WC Society workshop

This is a painting I did during a Mel Stabin workshop well over ten years ago. Speaking of Mel...he's coming to Vermont this fall and teaching a 5 day plein air workshop in Landgrove. I'm super excited! It is being sponsored by the VT Watercolor Society and anyone out there who might be interested...let me know. The location is the Landgrove Inn and they are offering a special on your stay..it is quite the complete package. Click their name to go to their website and scroll to the bottom to check out their Learning Vacations. They built a beautiful studio and host many other workshops.

This is lovely....I can see the Stabin-ish influence.....in his book he has some walls like this.
I actually like yours better :)

Great piece in keeping with Mel's Simple, Fast, and Focused style. I took 3 of Mel's workshops -- Mexico, Maine, and Block Island, RI. He's terrific.

Hum, wonder if I might be in town when he is there.

I love the California or tropical feel to this one. Those creeping vines are fabulous and set my head to your technique with them. Ideas are generated and that is always a good thing. Lovely painting!
