White Hen

This white hen was a tricky one to paint...white doesn't necessarily mean white...as you can see there are many colors in the shadow side of this chicken. I left the pure white of the paper for the top highlight and the few areas along the side(not using masking fluid). Taking tomorrow off from blogging and the holiday...so see you on Tuesday! Have a good weekend everyone!

Nella semplicità del soggetto hai realizzato un meraviglioso acquerello ricco di atmosfera ed emozioni. Bellissimo!

Annelein, these latest are all delights! I've been missing blogs at this workshop, but I saw your note--you are going to LOVE Ted Nuttall if you are having him come to Vermont--he's wonderful. His work is really stunning. Really a born teacher, and soooo nice. Tell him hi for me!

I have to simply echo Cynthia. Superlatives I keep repeating over and over here, Annelein. Everything you touch with a brush ends up magical.

I went to your website - not all of these "blog" paintings are posted for sale...I don't think I saw this guy there... ?
