Quote

A graphite study of three 5 minute poses...the warm ups are sometimes the hardest..you have to get the large masses down first and not worry about the details...then if there is time left you can restate lines and put in some shading..How about this quote by famous artist Georgia O'Keeffe: "I hate flowers - I paint them because they're cheaper than models and they don't move."  Well that's not true for me...I love flowers, but they do sit still...and I do like drawing the model, too...

Annelein, loving your sketches. The dog is a hoot, and of course your life drawings are always good.

SCVWS out here in CA is still talking about what a great workshop you gave here. I gave you some credit for some plein air work I just did. Not up to your standards at all, but inspired by the peonies class I took from you.

Oh my gosh! I never heard that quote before... how ironic! I'm glad you love your subjects. I don't know how an artist can paint a convincing piece if they don't feel something for their subject. I admire how quickly and accurately, and yet artistically, you rendered your subjects. Well done!
