Yesterday the local weekly paper
Seven Days came out and they ran an announcement of my upcoming show. This picture was from my solo show last year and the piece I'm posing in front of is now in someone's private collection. Last year was the first year in a while that I started painting on full (22"x30") sheets of watercolor paper again. I'm continuing that this year and it's been great...rediscovering a "new" size. Means larger brushes!

Annelein, when is your new show?
You look wonderful and so does that gorgeous painting, Annelein! Best of luck with your show. I know it will be a huge success.
Thanks so much! Ruth, my show opens tomorrow (March 5th) from 5-8and I'm doing a demo from 1-3 on Saturday the 6th. All at Frog Hollow State Craft Center on Church Street in Burlington.
Drats. Wish I lived closer to Vermont. Being in southern NH on the MA border, I just wouldn't be able to make a day trip out of it. Would love to be there for your demo and see your show.
March must be the month for art shows. I've heard of others and I have one that opened on the 1st. If you'd like to look at my blog http://bdycttdncr.blogspot.com/ for the particulars, it's there. It's such that I won a lottery drawing to be the first artist of the month in a new gallery opening by the Hollis, NH Art Society. Wonderful setting for artwork.
Tonight I'm going to put up some of the photos I took of the show in this 18th century setting. So look at it about 8:30 pm or later.
Good luck with your show and I'm still miffed that I won't be able to make yours.
Hey, if you could come to NH, there will be an artist reception on the 25th of March in the evening. We'd get to meet. Ruth
I love the bigger pieces of art, Annelein. That painting is beautiful and you look wonderful. Hope you have a greatly successful show!
I could have gone into the link for the Seven Days. Didn't have time before, but just did now. Wow, that is one nice piece of publicity. Hope all goes well with your show and the reception tonight. This has to be a delightful place to be in this winter weary landscape that we've come to wish was renewed by spring blossoms. Yours will be a wonderful substitute at this time of our year. Best to you. Ruth
