Happy Fourth weekend everyone! This painting reminds me a little of exploding fireworks...Those big chrysanthemums in the sky...well they are stargazer lilies instead. I used horizon blue and turquoise blue in the background, which is a bit different for me. (15"x15")

Oh, it really DOES remind me now of fireworks in all their glory--this is just stunning, Annelein. I love the soft shadowy colors you used in the light areas . This is an instant fave. I love the background color here.
Wow this is wonderful. I've never heard of either of these blues, but they work wonderfully here behind that great pink.
