Counting sheep

My sheep series has been new for me and I decided to really push the colors towards abstraction.  I say this in my workshops regarding florals or fruit as well, that a tomato or poppy are not just red out of the tube...they can lean towards orange, yellow, green or even violet, making them that much more interesting...well at least to me...

Strong light

We have several weekly figure sessions around town and I try to go at least once if not twice a week. I think studying the figure has helped in other areas of my work. I try to focus on shapes and light.
