I was just starting to question if I had done something wrong in regards responding to your comments, because I have not had too many lately...but lo and behold this morning there were 7 comments to moderate, so I'll turn that frown upside down! This is an earlier piece done during a class of a fairly simple still life set up. The fabric scraps and textures really appeal to me. My brush work and color selection has gotten bolder over time...I'll chalk that up to being less timid and just jumping in to the watercolor pools of color with both feet!
Good morning ... and it's always a good morning when I check into your blog to see your latest watercolor. :-)))) I'm truly fascinated by your paintings. Love the negative painting...the color...the composition. Very inspirational. (Must buy an easel, again!) Admire the fabrics you choose, too. Did I count 7 or 8 in a recent painting? Thanks for sharing your talent with us!

Re comments: I think the start of school, the franticness (is that a word) of fall - Everything just happens with a bang when the weather changes. Your paintings are wonderful, we watch, every day with great interest.....keep up the great work which prompts us all to paint a bit more!
ReplyDeleteLovely, Annelein! I try to check in when I can--on the road I can't always get to blogs until later at night when I can relax. This is wonderful--I like your still life images!
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful with the fabric and the tea can. I follow your oil blog too but cannot ,,for some reason ,,,ever leave comments there. They won´t take. I really admire your work there too.

ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! Too bad about the oil blog and your comments Cynthia...I have gotten comments on that blog before...try again sometime. Stay tuned to that blog for a whole new series of rooster paintings in oils! I'll announce it on this blog when I post them. Take care
