I wasn't sure if I had ever posted this protective rooster guarding his flock...This was done several years ago and looking back my colors have changed significantly since then. I'm still striving for more, varied color in my work...I don't know what that is quite yet, but I know I'm not there yet...I still reach for the tried and true eventhough I have many new and exciting pigments available to me...I guess change is slow(and scary), but once you utter the words, the goal is somehow more attainable.
Wow, this is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI think the palette is exquisite and mirrors what I think of as the rooster's personality (think 'bantam'). Your painting technique is a wonderful thing to see as well. Still in awe, Annelein.
ReplyDeleteYour doing great and I appreciate your honesty toward new things and struggling about it. I don't feel I'm the only one. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI really admire all of your work, but have to say your roosters are my favorite. This is exceptional!
