Another little one...They have a sketchbook quality to them. I like the way the purple bled into the pure red on the bottom right hand side. Those are the magical areas in a watercolor for me.
They DO have a sketchbook quality about them, but still, I think these pieces with your little color tests on the bottom make such joyous pieces of frameable art in and of themselves!
I agree. That part is my favourite too. I remember reading somewhere that oil painters spent sleepless nights thinking of how watercolourists acheive that kind of magic :)
Annelein -- very interesting. Makes me think, "Wolf Kahn" -- I just love his color work and simple, yet subtle, shapes in pastels. He always captures the essence in ways that surprise the viewer.
