life changing

My life forever changed last week when my Dad passed away. Slowly I'll emerge from my fog...I painted his portrait last year as part of a larger piece. So bear with me as I try to get back to a regular schedule of posting.

  2. Hi Annelein, Please accept my condolences. I lost my Dad two years ago after a horrendous battle with Parkinson's disease. Be kind to yourself for the next while. It is hard to let them go.

  16. Having just gone through a family crisis event (MIL had severe stroke), I can sympathize with how your life has been turned upside down. My condolences.

    It is so lovely that you have this beautiful painting of him and that your art can be of some comfort to you. I imagine we'll be seeing more paintings of him over the coming months? He must have been very proud of your talent.

  22. My dad's passing signaled a big change in my artwork as well as my life. My sympathy to you... I know it is so difficult to go through this... he must have been a wonderful person. Take care of yourself....

  23. Dads and daughters, something very special.. I am so sorry .. you can keep all the good memories close in your heart. No one can take those.. I wrote a piece on my art hearts journey blog called a Christmas Letter to my Dad. I still go back and read it .. BJ
