eyes vs. ears

The eyes of a painted portrait are so important...they make or break the resemblance to the person. I don't think anyone would look at a portrait and think the ear is a bit off...but then again...you never know.

  2. Actually I recall reading that the folds in a person's ears are unique, and could be used to identify people. But your point is taken: in a portrait the eyes give life to it and they should be represented accurately.
