The Wheel of Color

The color wheel is so valuable to painters. It is the building
block of understanding color and their relationship to one
another. We worked alot on color composition in my workshop
and I hope most everyone has made their own form of the color
wheel at some stage in their art life. I will take a short break from
my daily blog, so more next week (after vacation!)

I always like color charts and wheel, but yours is really the most beautiful one I've seen; it's a work of art in itself.
Do you think you might ever post a list of what colors are on your palette? I'd be especially interested in which yellows and purples you use.
Happy vacation!

Thanks for the comment! That color wheel was done on a handmade piece of watercolor paper from the St. Armand paper mill in Montreal, Canada. It measures 40 inches in diameter! I'll try to post some colors
