I really wasn't going to start off another week with a rooster..
but since this is my latest entry for the Different Strokes blog,
I kinda had to. I'm returning with flowers tomorrow. This image
was based on another white rooster in front of a landscape that
I did two weeks ago...when the assignment came through for DSFDF I
thought I'd incorporate the landscape from the picture with one
of my crowned cluckers!
Haha! Nice combo of landscape with one of your roosters too! Funny, driving to work this AM, it was so crisp and sunny, I was thinking it would be a perfect day to be out painting landscapes!
ReplyDeleteSuch a perfect set up for DSFDF. Looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLOL - I love your take on the DSFDF!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Great choices of colors; and I especially like how the foreground grasses are painted. The rooster is brilliant!!
ReplyDeleteLOL - great idea to incorporate one of your famous roosters with the DSFDF challenge! Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a unique touch! I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove your version, seems like i am back here after every DSDF challenge. Love the rooster and nice colors.
ReplyDeleteYour work is fabulous, and the addition of the handsome rooster is brilliant!! It's really HIS farm!
ReplyDeleteHopefully, my version will be up tomorrow.....sans rooster, however.
Very clever! I love the colors and the rooster made me smile.
ReplyDeleteDelightful!!! What a lovely way to present this rural scene!
ReplyDeleteThought this such a wonderful interpretation of Kurick's instructions for the DSFDF! Loved the insouciant rooster!
ReplyDeleteCock-a-doodle-doo! The most original of the DSFDF entries so far.
ReplyDeleteThis is great. I would assume roosters are territorial so it's perfectly natural that he'd be right there saying, "Excuse me, can I help you?" I really like the way your composition brings my eyes around in a counterclockwise direction and I like that touch of gold on the beak that adds the third primary color. Reeeally nice job.
ReplyDeletehe makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite of the DSFDF entries. When I saw that rooster, it just made me smile from ear to ear!
ReplyDeleteI love it. It's like he's greeting us with skepticism ;)
ReplyDeleteOn its own, it's a beautiful painting.
