Iris time is now

"Iris Abstraction" 11" x 15"
As promised another floral image...great comments on
my DSFDF entry everyone! Thanks so much. I am eagerly
anticipating what the next challenge will be. It has certainly
made me more diligent in keeping a sketchbook, which was
definitely a goal of mine. I can see the steady improvements
it has made in the way I put down lines and color.

  2. This is breath-taking Annelein. I'm going to come back and look at this again and again. It's like a little iris vacation.

  3. Both the iris and the DSFDF are just wonderful. I love the way you incorporated your rooster, perfecto!

  4. I really like this abstract, perhaps better than anything else I've seen of yours - seems to me you are headed in the right direction. Years ago, I had some training with a teacher at a fine arts school, who painted a bit like this when I first knew him - more masculine maybe, but I recall when he came to a turning point where he made the decision to pursue something that's difficult to explain - not necessarily more abstract, but more ... intense, more basic, concentrating on lines and colours, paring it down. Seems to me you're tending that way with this piece.
