"Brewski"

I had the pleasure of taking a Ted Nuttall workshop this summer...highly recommend it! This was one of the pieces I completed. 11"x15" "Brewski". I'm now taking pictures of unsuspecting people and trying to paint them!

  1. Very nice! I particularly like the minimalist use of paint--working on that myself, trying to get more image out of the paint I use while trying to leave more negative space.

  3. Beautiful ~ I love the way you've captured all of him without filling the page. I don't seem to be able to do that. It's that negative space I can get my head around.

  6. 'Bout time we got to see some of your "Ted" stuff. It's fabulous!!! But then you know how to use watercolor beautifully already. This is absolutely wonderful. Good job Annelein!!

  7. Love the title, it made me giggle. Then the last sentence made me laugh aloud too. Love the painting, Annelein. Truly rather an Americana feel to it!

  11. Annelid, this is beautiful, and I really like ALL of these portraits you've done. I saw your most recent one, and then looked at all of these. They really caught my eye, and I can really see the Ted Nuttall influence! Well done!
