This is a small portrait...the paper was 6"x8" and handmade at a small mill in Italy...ofcourse on paper that precious the paintings can't help but turn out good....(wink wink, recognize sarcasm here) I still have some Twinrocker paper from years ago that I'm "saving"...I should just use it...if you think about it..it's cotton pulp and water smooshed into a mold and pressed....hmmm
Amazing portrait, such thoughtful eyes.
ReplyDeleteYou sure didn't need to take any specialized portrait painting classes! You do fantastic work!! Why have you spent all that time on peonies when you do such gorgeous face work!! Congratulations on a job well done in other words.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you dance the colors around in your portraits. It gives them a special quality and makes the people come to life. Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteWonderful portrait and handsome model too. One day I'm going to try to make paper. I keep saying it...
ReplyDeleteLove this! And in such a relatively small size-really amazing.
