Blue Chair

This was a piece done "en plein air" in a lovely garden one hot summer day! I was sitting in the full sun, which was very uncomfortable, but I like the way the painting came out. I later sought out the shade, desperately. This painting is about 14"x18". One of the hardest things is keeping the paint wet enough when it's that sunny and dry outside.

The painting is truly sunny Annelein. You can see the glow from the grass up in the air. I love the tablecloths. Thank you, Irina

Beautifully done, Annelein. Even the fabric of the tablecloth and pillow soften the feel of the composition.

I can't paint or even draw but I do love your paintings. And this one is so relaxing and where I'd like to be on a sunny summer day. Beautiful work!

What a gorgeous spot! I so love Adirondack chairs and this one has the most exquisite colors! That table scarf is stunning!
