filling sketchbooks

Vacation sketches...it is sometimes hard to force yourself to sit and paint while on a trip...but it really cements the experience of travel in a different way than photos do...I envy the artists who have shelves upon shelves of full sketchbooks...I'm working on it!

Annelein, your watercolor paintings are wonderful! You have a knack for capturing the light! I subscribed to your page, excited to see more from you. Feel free to visit my blog or website too!

I feel the same envy as you regarding the endles sketchbooks! I always seem to find an excuse not to do it, but on the occassions when I have I have been so pleased afterwards! This is a really lovely sketch - and I agree, much better than a photograph :0)

This really is a lovely sketch...I don't think you need to work on it 'you've got it' :)

You are so right about cementing your memory!! I have only painted on trip once, and I love that little painting. Thanks for the reminder, I will have to do that again!

I love painting in my travel sketchbooks and reliving my journeys back home! Nice painting!
