Mountainside

A sketchbook image from my Mexico vacation earlier this year. I find that when I use my little travel watercolors my colors tend to be a little more timid..I don't know if it's that I don't have a large working surface for bigger puddles of colors or it's just something that happens and the colors are a bit dried out when I start...something to keep an eye on.

Very nice! My travels start again soon-this piece inspires me to get my travel water color kit IN ORDER--and accessible.

Gosh, Annelein! Your sketchbooks are so gorgeous and priceless! I think this is beautiful and quite honestly, I don't really notice any timidity with your colors. Always well thought out and well executed.

I'm a new visitor to your blog, and am enjoying your loose and saturated watercolors very much. This sketch of a Mexican town is very fine.
