tube pinks

Here is another peony painting done recently...they are such unique blooms with all those petals. I called this one "Thriving". Love dipping in to all my tubed pinks...but mixing them with eachother so as not to use anything "straight" from the tube...opera, quinacridone magenta, bright rose, diox. violet etc..etc.. Here and there a few blues in the shadows..you get the idea....

some colors need to come from 'specialized tube' colors and pinks are the most common ones.
I have more tubes of reds than any other colors.
My favorites are: Thalo Red Rose, Quinacridone magenta, Quinacridone Red, Permanent Rose and Thalo violet....
