I’m learning how to incorporate my watercolors and digital work together...I painted this hen with her colorful eggs several years ago..but decided to make it into an illustrated recipe for the “They Draw and Cook” website...the white eggs were added in procreate, as was the background to blend with the foreground. Then the text was also added digitally... click this LINK to check out my other illustrated recipes. Happy Easter to those who celebrate 🐣

I am an adoring fan of your work.
But am not particularly happy to see you working in procreate.
I know "it's the thing" these days to make art digitally but I have to say I am just NOT a fan of it.
I find your samples interesting and attractive and colorful.
I know it IS art and lots of folks are trying it out.
But I am hoping you won't delve too deeply into it or just use it for illustration now and then.
I love your hand painting work. It's THE best.
Aaaawwww...sorry that you feel that way. I’m glad you are a fan of my traditional art and I will continue to paint with all the colors, brushes and surfaces...but I’ve found procreate to be a fascinating new avenue that has opened my mind to many many more creative possibilities. I used to be a digital art holdout...actually avoided oils and acrylics as well...but I’ve enjoyed getting to explore all the new to me media and have come to realize that they all help inform my art practice in their own unique ways. Gotta keep leaning!
