Take Five

"Take Five" 10" x 22" at GMFA in Stowe
This painting was created using sketches from my journal.
I've been trying to sketch on a daily basis and as a result
have revisited some older sketchbooks and travel journals.
Like I mentioned in a previous blog, it's so much fun to peek
inside other artists' sketchbooks. There are so many blogs
online where people post their pages. One such site is Moleskinerie.
The moleskine book has been around for a while, but I'll let you
check out the link, where I believe there is history and lots and
lots of journal pages to look at. Happy weekend!

Just visiting your blog for the first time and I have to tell you how much I love your watercolors.

They remind me of the work of Shirley Trevena, a British artist, whom I've admired for years. Are you familiar with her?

I love the freshness, the color, and the simplicity of just about every entry.

You are an inspiration. Thank You for sharing your work.

Thanks Pat for your compliments...I am familiar with Shirley Trevena's work, she's great! How did you come across my blog? It is quite the world wide web out there with many things connecting.
