The very quirky assignment for the latest Different Strokes blog. We had three weeks to complete this one and I went almost to the last day. I had printed the image up, but had it kicking around the house all this time. Well last night it felt like I could tackle this and really had fun with it. It seems I try to incorporate my splashes and droplets in all the DSFDF challenges. Or maybe it's just me and I just like them..

I really like this painting. One of the best interpretations on the DSDF challenge. (I had thought about sticking with watercolor, but decided to do it in oil...which I haven't used in more years than I'd like to say! Result was determined by the challenge of getting the paint on the canvas!)
Wonderful interpretation of the Different Strokes image! Love the shapes.
Great piece, love the suggestions of shapes and such.
Love your painting. A wonderful abstract of a difficult subject. Very original.Silvia
WOW! What a terrific take on this DSFDF challenge. Moving, mysterious and very modern looking.
It is a winner!
This is super! I certainly like your take on the challenge and the droplets are certainly your signature.
This watercolor interpretation is wonderful!
How unique. I really like your composition and the looseness of your painting. One of my favorite.
What a fantastic interpretation of this most difficult challenge! Looks like you really had fun too.
I love your blog...makes me want to dig out my watercolors, if I can find them.
Wow, nice contrast of expressive brushwork with the geometric floor grid.
Hi..looking at your painting, I feel" This is what I should have done!"... I kept this photo for a long time but was too intimidated to attempt all three figures in watercolor! Great work, hats off!...
So glad to have followed you here from Different Strokes. Your work is lovely, truly. I have to come back and visit your earlier entries!
Love your version of the DSDF challenge- the droplets and all. I have been procrastinating on this one also - think i might just let this one pass.
I think this is my favorite. Such flow!
Beautifully done Annelein! Definitely my fav for this challenge...
