It's funny how that happens sometimes...you think you are being really bold and then several years later, when your work has taken on a heavier hand..you look back at the earlier work and see just how wishy washy it sometimes was..

I don't think this is 'wishy-washy' at all. I really like it. Aren't our color choices sometimes influenced by our own moods though? This one looks truly calm and peaceful, and that is far from wishy-washy!
This is a powerful, beautiful work of art! What I find interesting is I can recognize your style by that tiny little avatar that comes up on my blog roll - I don't even need to read the text to know it is your work. Fantastic!!!
I love this bird with the foliage...a nice change from straw.
I know what you mean about looking back at our work...it is a good thing when we look back and see how far we have come! I seriously don´t think you have anything to worry about:)....as we all wish we had your talent but it is healthy that even an artist like yourself has these thoughts :) there is hope for us all in the world of watercolor :)
This series of chicken paintings is very appealing to me. In this one the pose, and the way you use contrast stand out.
