value your approach to the painting..knock, knock..who's there? Orange... Orange who? Orange you glad I didn't say value! all kidding aside...I do realize the importance and it does slow me down and makes me look at the scene before diving in with random color selections.

I think it's beautiful as a work on it's own. I'm a sucker for a monochromatic palette:)
I was once told that if it doesn't work in black and white, then it doesn't work in colour. Sometimes by turning a colourful painting to black and white on a computer, it helps to determine whether the tonal values are correct. I tried this a couple of times and it helped me.

Carissima, non comprendevo - per via della traduzione automatica - il senso di quel 'value', poi ho capito che parli del disegno. Si, anch'io sostengo che il disegno รจ fondamentale, ma guardando i tuoi bellissimi acquerelli mi pare che tu non abbia mai trascurato il disegno anche quando hai usato solo il pennello e i colori... Tu sai disegnare benissimo anche se non ne eri consapevole. Ciao e buon fine settimana.
